'Having used GABA for a few years and developing a little resistance to it, I thought I would temporarily switch to this for stress. This has more of a groggy side effect in the beginning but it went away. The GABA seems to be a 'cleaner' product for me and my brain, but this is a decent alternative. GABA is a 5 leaf this is a 4 leaf.'

'I definitely got a bit moody after menopause. In the past 5 years I have tried all the mood-enhancing supplements. I started with 5-HTP since it is a top serotonin precursor, but it had zero positive effects. In all my trail runs with other mood supplements--such as St John's Wort, Sam-e, GABA, etc.-- Suntheaniane L-Theanine is the ONLY one that has made a truly noticeable positive difference. We all have different brain chemistries so I cannot say you will have the same effects, but it works beautifully for me. Also, I have found no higher quality Suntheanine from even the most highly touted $$$ brands. Swanson's wins again!!!'

'I have recommended L-Theanine for years. It was recommended to me by an MD. It helps to calm and relieve stress by taking 'the edge' off thinking that is spinning too fast. Just a month ago I saw that Dr. Amen was in favor of it (he suggests 400 mg) a day. The Swanson brand is the best value for the cost.'

'I wouldn't be without Suntheanine. It promotes relaxation without drowsiness. It is the ONLY form of L-theanine that has a patent (Taiyo). All other forms of L-theanine are not nearly as good as this.

In addition to promoting calm relaxation, it also mitigates the effect of caffeine 'jitters.'

If you're not familiar with SunTheanine, by all means treat yourself to a bottle. It's magic.'
